The Instituto Cabo-verdiano da Propriedade Industrial (INAPI) of Cape Verde is responsible for the protection and administration of intellectual property rights within the country. INAPI operates under the legal framework of Cape Verde and is in charge of managing patents, trademarks, and industrial designs. As a member of the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO), Cape Verde's intellectual property rights are also governed by the agreements and protocols established by ARIPO. INAPI ensures that the rights of inventors, creators, and businesses are safeguarded in accordance with both national and regional intellectual property laws.
