The Office Djiboutien de la Propriété Industrielle et Commerciale (ODPIC) is the agency responsible for the protection of industrial property rights in Djibouti, including patents, trademarks, and industrial designs. Established under Law No. 49/AN/08/6 of April 19, 2009 , ODPIC operates as the primary authority for the registration and management of intellectual property rights in the country. Djibouti, while being a member of international intellectual property treaties such as the TRIPS Agreement, the Paris Convention, and the WIPO Convention, is not yet a party to the Madrid Protocol or the Madrid Agreement, meaning that trademark registrations must be filed directly with ODPIC rather than through international routes.
