The National Service of Intellectual Rights (SENADI) in Ecuador is the competent authority responsible for the protection and administration of intellectual property rights, including trademarks, patents, and industrial designs. SENADI operates under the Organic Code on the Social Economy of Knowledge, Creativity and Innovation (Code of Knowledge or INGENIOS) (2016) and the Intellectual Property Law (1998 Cod.2006) , and is a member of international organizations such as the Paris Convention, Berne Convention, and the Patent Cooperation Treaty. SENADI's mission is to foster the protection and defense of intellectual property rights recognized by national legislation and international treaties, promote intellectual creation, diffuse technological knowledge, and prevent violations of intellectual property principles and free competition.
