The Fiji Intellectual Property Office is responsible for the administration and enforcement of intellectual property rights in Fiji, including patents, trademarks, and designs. The office operates under the Attorney General’s Office and is committed to protecting the intellectual property of creators and inventors. With the recent overhaul of Fiji's intellectual property laws, including the Trade Marks Act 2021, Patents Act 2021, and Designs Act 2021, Fiji's IP laws are now more aligned with international standards and practices. These new acts adopt the International Nice Classification and provisions for the Madrid Protocol, modernizing Fiji's approach to intellectual property protection.
