The Industrial Property Office of Gabon, also known as the Office Gabonais de la Propriété Industrielle (OGAPI), is the competent authority for intellectual property rights in Gabon. It operates under the Ministry of Industry and National Entrepreneurship and is responsible for the protection and administration of patents, trademarks, and industrial designs. As a member of the African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI), Gabon adheres to the common intellectual property law, the Bangui Agreement and its annexes, which provide a centralized administrative procedure for the registration of intellectual property rights. This membership ensures that Gabon's intellectual property system is in line with international standards and practices, fostering creativity and protecting the rights of inventors and creators within the country and the OAPI region.
