The Department of Intellectual Protection and Marks under the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Aden is responsible for managing and protecting intellectual property rights in the southern part of Yemen. This includes the registration and protection of trademarks, patents, and industrial designs. The office in Aden operates independently from the office in Sana'a due to the current political situation. It provides services such as facilitating procedures for all public and private commercial sectors, renewal of commercial records, issuing ministerial decisions on the granting of incorporation licenses to companies, and receiving applications for the deposit of trademarks and all applications related to the Law of Trademarks and Geographical Indications No. (23) for the year 2010.
